Last month I noted that the sushi restaurant opening up on N. Main St. in downtown Walnut Creek where The Pizza Place used to be would be Chinese owned with locations in the South Bay or Peninsula. Well it turns out that the sushi restaurant will be Lafayette’s very own Oyama Sushi located next to Trader Joe’s. They will be opening a second location taking over The Pizza Place as well as next door which used to be a furniture showroom. Word on the street is that there will be a significant upgrade to the entire building facade so I look forward to seeing how this will come out.
