10:30am – 12:oopmOur Western Lecture Series begins on February 27 with a presentation; ‘The U.S. Cavalry in the West: Cutting Through the Mythology’, about the history of the United States Cavalry by Frederick Klink. An avid horseman who competes in Three-Day Eventing, Fred comes from a family of military horsemen. His grandfather was a cavalry officer and his father served as a warrant officer of artillery, initially with a horse-drawn regiment. Fred has made an extensive study of the history of the US Cavalry and has been a member of the US Cavalry Association since 1986, and has been a member of their Board of Directors and Vice President since the mid-90s.
