Tree -> Stump -> Building -> Gone

1403 Locust St, Walnut Creek

One time, not too long ago, was a nice looking brick building with a nice looking tree out front. Then ever so slowly, the tree turned into a stump, and the building got demolished. Anyone know what’s going in here?
