1360 Locust St, Walnut Creek
The Oakland-based German-inspired restaurant and beer hall Bierhaus opens for dinner today in downtown Walnut Creek where Lark Creek used to be. Inside is quite spacious with a warm ambiance highlighted with wood tones and German signage throughout the main area as well as the nearby bar and retail bottle shop. The outdoor patio area is expansive, a perfect, dog-friendly spot to hang out with friends and family.
Food-wise I enjoyed the various sausages as well as warm pretzels with German mustard and Belgian fries. Accompanied with German beers such as a Marzen and Pilsner made for an enjoyable dining experience that will bring me back with my family for sure. Bierhaus is open for dinner service only beginning at 5:30 p.m., with lunch and happy hour service commencing on November 25. Be sure to check this place out if you’re in the area!
