A few years ago we learned that Walnut Creek-based lugged steel bicycle maker Rivendell was opening a showroom called Bike, Book & Hatchet in downtown Walnut Creek featuring their own bicycles, as well as books and hatchets, and sadly, this eclectic shop is closing at the end of September. However, Rivendell still takes orders online here and will continue to focus on making lugged steel bikes at their original location at 2040 N.
