Scott Nygaard is one of bluegrass’ most eclectic guitar players. A former member of Laurie Lewis and Grant Street, Nygaard has been an essential member of Tim O’Brien’s O’Boys since 1991. In addition to occasional sideman gigs with stellar musicians as Tony Furtado, Todd Phillips, Peter Rowan, Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush, Bela Fleck, Vassar Clements, Mike Marshall, Richard Greene, Kathy Kallick, and Norton Buffalo. Scott has produced two memorable solo albums featuring his highly-melodic flatpicking.
Scott teams up with Sharon Gilchrist who has her own bluegrass credentials. Sharon plays mandolin, upright bass, sings, writes original music and is also a respected teacher. She has performed with a number of great artists including Darol Anger, Scott Law, the Ger Mandolin Orchestra directed by Mike Marshall, the Peter Rowan and Tony Rice Quartet, Uncle Earl, Laurie Lewis and the Right Hands, The Kathy Kallick Band, Bill Evans, Donald Rubinstein, Jeff Scroggins, The Santa Fe All-Stars, the Bill Hearne Trio and Mary & Mars.
Show starts at 8:00pm. This will be a pass-the-hat party with a Suggested Donation of $15 – $20 per person
