No community event would be complete without food and drink and this year’s FallFest has a great selection of ‘cuisine’ opportunities ranging from Chicken Skewers, Tempura Fried Vegetables, Kettle Corn and Hawaiian Shaved Ice! Also enjoy a local Danville brewery and two outstanding wine purveyors. This year’s FallFest offers some outstanding dance and musical entertainment. Next Step Dance Academy returns to entertain their Fallfest fans. Additionally, you may catch the Danville Women’s Club Flash-Mob dance ensemble – but who knows where or when! The Classic Car Show shows off on Sunday. Don’t miss seeing an array of the coolest cars in the Valley.

The SRV Ski & Snowboard Swap hosted by the SRVHS PTSA is a great place to outfit your family with winter gear for skiing and snowboarding at discount prices. They will have a huge selection of new and used skis, boards, boots, poles, helmets, goggles, and apparel in adult and children’s sizes, along with expert advice to make sure you get just the right fit.

You’ll find skis, boards and boots from Rossignol, K2, Volkl, Dynastar, Burton, Salomon and more. Snowsuits, bibs, pants, snow boots, jackets, gloves in all sizes, from name brands such as Columbia, Obermeyer, Burton, North Face, Sorel, etc. at ¼ to 1/2 of original prices.

If you have gently used equipment or outerwear that your family has outgrown or no longer needs, you can donate it to the swap. The funds raised from its sale will go back to the school to help fund educational programs. All donations are tax deductible.

The Annual Art of Mixology event at Orinda Theatre Square is Lamorinda Arts Council’s largest fundraiser of the year. With an anticipated crowd of over 300 attendees, the event will host over 20 bartenders creating luscious craft cocktails competing for the Mixologist of the Year, Top Amateur, Audience Favorite and the Art of Staging Award (Table Decorating).

New Day for Children is a place for girls caught in the despair of human trafficking to regain their stolen childhoods.
Since 2009, we’ve provided restorative care and education to girls 10+ years old, in our facilities, state licensed boarding schools and partner programs in the Western U.S. We take a multi-faceted approach to meet the unique needs of the girls rescued, combining shelter, education, and therapy to help them recapture their lives. Our program was developed to lift the girls out of this desperation by providing a safe, loving, and hope-filled place to flourish and, in time, learn to lead happy, productive lives.

Guests may arrive early on Wednesday to set up their chairs and get comfortable for the performance.

Three terrific groups starting with Quake City Jug Band, a veteran jug band with snare drum, tap dancing, accordion, vocal harmonies, and feather boas, followed by The Stevens Sisters, an all female barbershop quartet made of 2 sets of sisters, and finishing with Dirty Cello, blues, bluegrass, and rock cello like you’ve never heard.

Rotary Club of Lafayette will provide a delicious BBQ, snacks, beer and wine for purchase.
