To make amends for the delay in opening the Walnut Creek ice skating rink, Walnut Creek on Ice is offering free skate hours tomorrow November 15 from 5 – 7pm. In addition to tomorrow’s opening, the Children’s Winter Festival has been rescheduled for Saturday, November 19, from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Walnut Creek on Ice will be opening on Tuesday, November 15 at noon! As a thank you to the public for being patient while it underwent a face lift, the rink is offering free skate hours from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday, November 15. The Rink is bigger and better than ever, with 8,000 square feet of ice, 6,000 of which are under a tent. You will have that open air feeling but you have a cover for the rain. There will also be food from McCovey’s, added seating areas, new lighting, a projector and other added benefits.
The CHILDREN’S WINTER FESTIVAL is rescheduled for Saturday, November 19, from 11:00am to 2:00pm. There will be face painters, ice sculpting, singers and much more. Our list of sponsors this year is lead by Co-Sponsor Raymond James Financial Advisors, john Muir Health, Broadway Plaza and numerous others. The Rink is brought to you by the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau and the Downtown Business Association.

The Rink is also bigger than ever with a new configuration, a food vendor, and sitting area under individual covered side tents.
