Berkeley-based olive oil and balsamic vinegar company Amphora opened recently at Danville Hotel Town Center where Papyrus used to be.

I suppose all the scarecrows I’ve been seeing in Danville are meant to be lighthearted holiday displays but I find them frightening, particularly this “fire chief” recently spotted at the end of Hartz Ave.

A couple of years ago, we learned that Hopstone Cafe would replace Homegrown Sustainable Sandwiches in Danville, but these days it looks empty with no signage in front. Anyone know what’s going on with this place?
