NBC Bay Area reported that a man was kidnapped and forced to withdraw money at the Chase Bank on Mt. Diablo Blvd in Lafayette. When the victim entered the bank he notified bank staff and eventually the suspect was arrested at gunpoint.

Thanks to a reader for sending word (and photo) that RadioShack is closing at the Lafayette Clocktower on Mt. Diablo Blvd. A couple of years ago they integrated Sprint stores within but looks like it was too little too late. For a way bigger selection Fry’s Electronics is located in Concord, worth the trip.
