Late last year, we learned that First Mile Cycle Works would be opening in Lafayette, and they are now open. In addition to carrying brands like COMMENCAL, BlackHeart Bike Company and Marin Bikes, they also offer maintenance and maintenance clinics to make sure your bike is in tip-top shape.

Our goal was to create a maintenance focused shop where riders could interact with bikes they can’t see anywhere else in the country.
Recently I found myself strolling in Lafayette on one of those hot days when I thought I was hallucinating because at the end of the street I spotted a big sign announcing RED ICE. Was this some special pop-up selling cherry or watermelon Italian ice I used to enjoy back on the East Coast? Nah, just a Reduce Speed sign. Oh well. 🍧🍧🍧
Park Plaza Shops, Lafayette
The Moraga-based organic family farm Hollie’s Homegrown, which offers, “culinary & medicinal herbs, teas, and bath & body products” is coming to Park Plaza Shops in Lafayette where Joe & the Juice used to be. They will also be offering wine tasting at this spot. Check out their online shop here.

Lafayette Forge
Last November we learned that Headlands Brewing Co. would be coming to Lafayette Forge and they are now open. In addition to beer, they also offer wine, cider, sausages, and snacks. Check out their beer and food selection here.

Lafayette Clocktower
