We knew that this was going to happen since June, and sure enough, the children’s activewear clothing store ivivva recentlyclosed in Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek. Most of their other stores have closed but you can still shop online here.

Last spring we learned that the blowout salon Drybar would be coming to the new Lyric apartment complex in downtown Walnut Creek and the temporary window signage now up points to an opening on Bonanza St. Check out their services here. Note that Blow Dry Bar Studio is located in the nearby Mercer apartment complex.

The DIY wood sign workshop company Board & Brush is coming to downtown Walnut Creek where Rainbow’s End Thrift Store used to be through the passageway next to the Mediterranean restaurant Pomegranate. According to their calendar the first workshop (Family Inspired) will be held on October 25th. Check out the details here and watch for updates on their Facebook page here. Considering how prevalent paint & sip studios are around here it’s cool to see a twist using wood. Not sure if they will allow alcohol here. Stay tuned…

Earlier this month we learned that Pancheros Mexican Grill closed in the Orchards shopping center in Walnut Creek with the possibility of an Indian restaurant opening in its place and that turns out to be exactly the case as Patra Indian Grill is coming soon to this location.
