We are honored to be hosting four prominent members of the Contra Costa County Historical Society, each of whom will share with us a little about their area of focus within the county.Each of our presenters are also published authors (see full bios below), and will have a limited selection of their books available for sale that evening.

When my friend first pointed out this article to me from the San Jose Mercury News about a new app being released in Walnut Creek that provides, “an alert when the green light is about to shine” I thought it must have been meant as an April Fool’s joke. But the app, called Enlighten, is linked to Walnut Creek’s traffic lights and will chime to alert the driver of an impending green light.

Coffee Shop will be open for business tomorrow morning at 6am!
Featured roasts include Stumptown, Sightglass, Four Barrel, Cafe Grumpy, JBC, Bard, George Howell and Kaldi’s. The inside looks stunning, it feels really spacious and looks like a fun place to hang. Check out more photos of the inside below including a closeup of the natural wood-grained bar seating area. Also note the stereo on the table in the photo below. I can’t wait to check this out!
