7:30pm | $12“Loving Vincent” is the first film made using oil paints. Altogether there are 66,000 frames that took 10 years to paint. The film is a biopic of Vincent Van Gogh, the tortured Dutch artist and focuses primarily of his last days. It is a bit of a mystery as to how, exactly, he died and the narrator seeks to solve it. The film is aesthetically beautiful and audiences have rated it at over 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. The New York Times called it hypnotic and beguiling.”
