10:00am – 3:00pm | FreeThe Lafayette Library and Learning Center is celebrating makers, creators, and the curious in the community at MakerFest on Saturday, July 30. The third annual MakerFest will include demonstrations for all ages in 3D printing, air-powered rocketry, programmable microcontrollers, Lego robotics and cosplay. This free event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“MakerFest is our biggest event of the year,” said Senior Community Library Manager Vickie Sciacca. “Last year we hosted hundreds of people and we expect to get another amazing turnout this year.”
Community members attending MakerFest can also enjoy hands-on projects like a DIY beauty bar, scribble bots, DIY instruments, a photo booth, computer programming for beginners and DIY ice cream.
