Thanks to a reader for pointing out that the Peruvian restaurant Lima, which opened a few years ago at Todos Santos Plaza in Concord, is planning to close mid to late March. A sign in the window indicates that Sultan’s Kebab will be coming here next. Possibly this one located in San Francisco, Pleasanton and Danville. Stay tuned…

Thanks to a reader for sending word that Rite Aid will be closing in Walnut Creek’s Tice Valley neighborhood. According to one employee I spoke with, March 22nd will be their last day.
Spotted at City Center Bishop Ranch in San Ramon, this is a “vintage Andrew Kohler piano from the early 1900s, one of the few pianos made in San Francisco”.

I’ve run for quite a few years but recently I decided to buy some dumbbells on sale at Target thinking I’d start working out at home which would be cheaper and more convenient than going to a gym. But I have yet to pump any iron. Maybe I should have joined a gym instead? Do you work out at home or at a gym? What is your workout routine?

Last September we learned that L & L Hawaiian Barbecue would be coming to downtown Walnut Creek where Home of Chicken and Waffles and later Baygreens Salad used to be but as you can see by the above photo taken over the weekend the coming soon signs have been removed, replaced by a leasing sign. Oh well. 😢
