The Oakland-based German-inspired restaurant and beer hall Bierhaus opens for dinner today in downtown Walnut Creek where Lark Creek used to be. Inside is quite spacious with a warm ambiance highlighted with wood tones and German signage throughout the main area as well as the nearby bar and retail bottle shop. The outdoor patio area is expansive, a perfect, dog-friendly spot to hang out with friends and family.
Food-wise I enjoyed the various sausages as well as warm pretzels with German mustard and Belgian fries. Accompanied with German beers such as a Marzen and Pilsner made for an enjoyable dining experience that will bring me back with my family for sure. Note that they have over, “20 imported, local beers and ciders on tap”. Check out their food menu here and beer menu here.
Bierhaus is open for dinner service only beginning at 5:30 p.m., with lunch and happy hour service commencing on November 25. Be sure to check this place out if you’re in the area!
