Thanks to a reader for pointing out that the paint and ship studio Canvas and Cabernet, which opened in downtown Walnut Creek back in 2013, has relocated across from the Kaiser medical center on S. Main St. As you can see in the photo below, the signage says, “The Practice for Women”, but the Canvas and Cabernet website still has classes available on their calendar. They are open Thursday – Saturday, 6 – 9pm and Sundays 3 – 6pm. Check for updates on their Facebook page here.

Traffic in the Bay Area can get pretty insane during rush hour. I feel lucky these days that I don’t have to commute as I work from home but throughout the years I commuted around the Bay Area both by car and BART. How long is your commute? Do you car pool or take BART? Would you consider moving to be closer to work?
Sunvalley Shopping Center, Concord
Last month, for the second time since spring, the Sunvalley shopping center in Concord had a serious rodent infestation at numerous restaurants according to this NBC Bay Area news article. You know things are bad when “there were mouse traps (with) a dead mouse in it at the time we inspected” and “roaches, live coach roaches.” WTF?!
When I finished playing video games at Round 1 with my son over the weekend he sat down near the food court and asked what’s for lunch. I gently suggested we go elsewhere and happily drove to nearby Veranda mall where we ate great burgers at Super Duper.
