This spring, Zaya Thai Pantry opened in Danville at The Clocktower. Check out their menu here. Check out the interesting backstory to this place here where they mention the move to Danville after having a restaurant in Oakland where “break-ins were common and PJ’s personal safety was always a concern for her husband.”

Spotted this new mural on the new, soon-to-open Crate & Barrel store in downtown Walnut Creek. At first, I wasn’t sure it’s finished, but I think it is? I see a Japanese rising sun like on the flag but don’t understand the meaning. Any ideas? The artist listed is Casey O’Connell. Mural Insta can be viewed here. Clearly a forest scene as noted in the comment below.
Danville Hotel Town Center
Earlier this year, we learned that plant-based restaurant Blossom & Root would be coming to Danville Hotel Town Center and their signage is now up and their opening can’t be far behind according to their Insta.

A1 Shoe Repair has relocated around the corner on Cypress street in downtown Walnut Creek where JBJ Curated Goods For Life, now known as JBJ, used to be. JBJ has since relocated to 1375 Locust Street according to their website.
