Spotted at the Veranda shopping center in Concord. They also have ping pong 🏓, cornhole and other games where the ice skating rink used to be. Great idea.

In 1975 the movie Jaws was released about a great white shark terrorizing an East Coast beach town. In August, 2018 The Meg will be released, about a giant pre-historic megalodon creature which makes the shark in Jaws look puny. Is bigger always better? On that note, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is coming out today. What movies are you looking forward to this summer?

It will feature up to almost 200 apartments/condos, a supermarket, coffee shop, sit-down restaurant and wine bar. As you can see in the above photo development has yet to start. A new salon, Olivia Nail Bar, opened recently in the Rheem Valley shopping center in Moraga. Check out their manicure services here and pedicure services here.

The salon was founded by Vanessa Schneider, a Miramonte High School parent. Familiarity with the area and love of the Moraga-Orinda community gave her the inspiration and strength to open Olivia Nail Bar. This upscale nail salon will bring friends, neighbors, and families together to pamper themselves, de-stress from the day, and spend quality time with each other.

Plaza Center, Lafayette
Apparently Peet’s Coffee at Plaza Center in Lafayette is lacking space so they have a separate storefront on the backside that acts as a storeroom. Nicely decorated; too bad it’s not a special Peet’s Reserve store like Starbucks Reserve though.
