College Square, Pleasant Hill
iTea boba cafes seem to be popping up all over these days with the latest in the College Square shopping mall near Diablo Valley College (DVC) on Golf Club Rd. in Pleasant Hill. These drinks are sweet enough for me at 30% so I’m glad they offer sweetness options. In addition to various food items they also offer games including Battleship along the wall. Thanks to a reader for sending word about this opening.

Earlier this week we learned about a new bikeshare program that started up recently in Shadelands in Walnut Creek and the week before we learned that the bike company Peloton would be opening a shop in Broadway Plaza. It seems like biking is becoming more popular these days, both for exercise and commuting. Although I mostly run I still go biking a few times during summertime. Do you ride? For those that bikeshare, do you wear a helmet?

Portland-based unisex hair care shop Bishops Cuts & Color, which we learned would be opening in downtown Walnut Creek across from the Lyric apartment complex back in December is now open. Check out their services here. You can see some of their pricing in the photo at bottom. This is their first East Bay location and “customers can expect a laid-back atmosphere, enjoying early MTV-style music videos on the specially curated Bishops TV platform while sipping a free beer (for those over the age of 21).”
