Crews were out Tuesday morning replacing all of the trash cans in downtown Walnut Creek.
Out are the green circular ones… in are the solar powered ones that only open in front… & compact the trash every hour or so. There are also new recycling bins.
Alamo Plaza Shopping Center

Thanks to a reader for sending word that Maggieray’s Barbecue closed in Alamo late last year. As you can see in the above photo, this is the location where Lamorinda Pizza will be opening. According to their Facebook page expect a late February or early March opening. This is directly across from the Alamo ACE Hardware on Danville Blvd.

If I saw this graffiti tag in San Francisco, Oakland, or other large city I wouldn’t give it a second thought. But when I spotted this on the recently vacated Crogan’s Bar & Grill in downtown Walnut Creek I did a double take. I guess this is to be expected as Walnut Creek becomes more urban.

Back last May we learned that San Francisco-based MoMo’s would be opening a second location in Downtown Walnut Creek where McCovey’s used to be and they will open next month on February 13th according to SFGate.
