According to NBC News, a woman was shot twice and husband pistol-whipped during a an armed robbery on Claremont Ave. in Orinda by masked intruders “and were seen running away with a wallet and a purse.” The woman is in stable condition.

Last month someone was shot and killed in downtown Walnut Creek late at night after bars such as Crogan’s and Redux were closing. Last night the Planning Commission met to determine whether to “modify or revoke the establishment’s [Crogan’s] “deemed approved” status, which may affect the establishment’s ability to operate and to sell and serve alcoholic beverages.”
