Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek
Starbucks will eventually be relocating within Broadway Plaza in downtown Walnut Creek. According to my source the new location will be a prime spot near the Macy’s side entrance. Previously, we learned that California Pizza Kitchen would also be relocating to a nearby spot at the new Agorra condo complex which may eventually lead to a larger restaurant at this location in the future.
1301 N. Main Street, Walnut Creek
Last year we learned that the clothing store Vineyard Vines would be coming to the new development at 1500 Mt. Diablo Blvd. in downtown Walnut Creek, and the pink whale signage is now visible on the windows. This is the same building where the pizzeria Slice House is planning on opening early 2016.

The bakery Cake. in La Fiesta Square in downtown Lafayette has closed. They opened over three years ago and I enjoyed their baked goods so it’s disappointing to see them go.
Last month we learned that Nespresso was opening in Broadway Plaza and the other day while waiting in line at Peet’s where there is a dedicated beans line got me wondering how many people make their own coffee at their home. Do you make your own coffee? Do you grind your own beans? What’s the best way to make coffee?

50 Lafayette Cir, Lafayette
Diablo Dish has the scoop that the trendy Walnut Creek coffee shop, Coffee Shop, is coming to downtown Lafayette where The Art Room is currently located. Earlier this year we learned that a new dodecagon shaped retail building was planned for this location but considering they are expected to open, “early 2016” it looks like they will be using the current space. Stay tuned…
From the Coffee Shop website:
Our mission is to celebrate exceptional coffee and coffee roasters by providing our guests the unique opportunity to try coffee roasted around the country, and the world. To have service that stands up to these exceptional coffees and compliment them with our own unique and innovative creations. To take coffee serious while having fun, and never stop experimenting.
