As Veggie Grill prepares for a December 8th opening, their signage is now up. Compared to the tire shop and post office a few years ago, it’s quite a difference with Anthropologie and now Veggie Grill here in refurbished digs. Check out their menu here.

Earlier this year we learned that the mail services store Main Street Postal that was in business for over 30 years was sold to a new owner who turned it into a UPS Store. The signage is now up although you can still see the old name in the store window.

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone! Enjoy the food, family and friends and stay safe to those traveling!
The L.A. street food restaurant 310 Eatery which opened in Walnut Creek earlier this year (and recently relocated within Redux Lounge on Locust St) is looking to expand to Solano Avenue in Albany very soon. Although they started in Walnut Creek, the owner began his restaurant experience in Albany so this will be like a homecoming for them.
They are known for their 405 Traffic Jam Burger and over the weekend I tried their Little Tokyo Po’boy softshell crab sandwich with a fried egg, tomato, homemade spicy slaw and homemade Unagi aioli on a brioche bun and it was delicious! Check out their Facebook page here for updates.

Despite all the construction going on at Broadway Plaza in downtown Walnut Creek the Christmas has gone up at the fountain. Remember that the new South Broadway parking garage opened last weekend and there will be Black Friday giveaways and offers this Friday.
3573 Mt Diablo Blvd, Lafayette, CA
Although there have been recent RadioShack closings in the area, the downtown Lafayette RadioShack is going to become a new concept store after temporarily closing for a remodel in February. I wonder how this will turn out?

Friday, November 28th, 2014 – Sunday, January 4th, 2015The 14th Annual Holiday Train Show at The Blackhawk Museum in Danville showcases the efforts of the Bay Area Chapter of the European Train Enthusiasts (ETE). Open from Friday November 28, through Sunday January 4th, this spectacular exhibit is a holiday MUST SEE for the entire family.
For over 23 years members of ETE have been constructing and operating a portable HO scale model railway showcasing scenes of Europe. Each of the many layout sections is expertly crafted by different members of the group. When combined they form a showplace for a fascinating and detailed miniature European journey.
