Recently, I had a contractor over to get an estimate (outside) and there was an awkward moment when we both had our masks in our hands and then put them on initially. I decided to ask them if they were vaccinated. They said yes, asked me the same, I replied that I too was vaccinated. Then, we took off our masks for most of the time as we were outdoors.
That was the first time I asked someone I didn’t know if they were vaccinated and it felt a bit weird. Had they said no, I would have just kept my mask on and continued the discussion. Do you ask people you come in contact with whether they are vaccinated, or do you find that off-putting?
Several years ago, I posted about the Danger, Stay Out – Stay Alive sign across from Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek. Sad to see how dried up it is now. I remember geese swimming around there in the not so distant past. Hopefully, more water will come this rainy season.

Boba café Sinceretea, which opened a couple of years ago in downtown Walnut Creek, has closed. Their San Jose location remains open. I enjoyed their red velvet flavored egg puffs.
Next month on September 14th, the California gubernatorial recall special election will take place to decide whether to recall Governor Gavin Newsom. More details can be found out on the Wikipedia page here. Do you plan on voting in this special election? Should Governor Newsom be recalled or is this all a bunch of hullabaloo over French Laundry?
