I’m not sure whether this Kevin’s Noodle House Parking Only sign at their Walnut Creek location is meant to be serious or not, but I’m pretty sure if you were to park there and have it towed, it wouldn’t actually be sold for scrap. I guess that’s the point, not that it would actually be sold for scrap, but to scare people from parking there, so it make sense after all?

Park ‘N’ Shop, Concord
An “authentic Taiwanese individual hotpot and boba tea” restaurant called Tasty Pot is coming soon to a newly remodeled section in the Park ‘N’ Shop in Concord. Check out their menu here.

This week we learned that the salad restaurant sweetgreen would be coming to downtown Walnut Creek, and based on what I’m reading from the comments, it looks like not only do they not accept cash, they don’t even accept credit cards as all purchases must be made through their app.
I remember a couple of years ago buying food at Amazon Go where you just grab what you want, walk out and the Amazon app charges your account automatically. Pretty nifty. Not sure how I feel about having to download an app for every Tom, Dick and Harry store I want to shop at. What do you think about cashless shops?

Late last year, we learned that First Mile Cycle Works would be opening in Lafayette, and they are now open. In addition to carrying brands like COMMENCAL, BlackHeart Bike Company and Marin Bikes, they also offer maintenance and maintenance clinics to make sure your bike is in tip-top shape.
