Back in October of last year I noted that Kelly-Moore Paints would be opening in the former restaurant Fuz on Mt. Diablo Blvd. in Lafayette and Kelly-Moore has now been open for a while. Behind Kelly-Moore a new Indian restaurant will be opening up according to Diablo Dish.
Spotted on the Lamorinda trail in Lafayette. The sign says, “New Chicks Eggs Coming Soon”. You can read more about the backyard chicken boom from Walnut Creek magazine here.

7:30pm – 8:30pm | FreeFlock of Flutes will perform a variety of selections from its broad repertoire, which includes traditional classical pieces and new works written specifically for flute choir. The featured works will include: William Tell Overture by Rossini, Finale from Act II of Marriage of Figaro by Mozart, Views from Falls House by Gary Shocker and more!
Music lovers of all ages and tastes will find something to enjoy in the course of the program.
The restaurant Corners Tavern has been open for a year now in downtown Walnut Creek and I recently noticed they offer a kids menu. Take a look at the kids burger in the photo above, it’s an exact replica of the adult burger which I think is great. Many times kids meals are dumbed down so this was a nice surprise.

From the Lafayette Police:
House Fire on the 1100 block of Pleasant Hill Circle, Fire on-scene, contained but there is a large amount of smoke in the area. Pleasant Hill Circle is closed at this time. Unknown how long the roadway will be closed.
In the beginning of March I noted that the restaurant Rustic Kitchen would be opening in downtown Lafayette on Mt. Diablo Blvd. and due to naming conflicts Rustic Kitchen will now be known as Rustic Tavern. They plan on opening in the beginning of April and are looking for experienced staff both in the front and back so if you’re interested check out this Craigslist posting here:
