Last month I was able to get a sneak peak of the new paint and sip studio Canvas and Cabernet in downtown Walnut Creek and now that they are officially open I stopped by to see the progress. You can check out the classes they offer here. According to the owner the most popular class is Red Bridge which will be offered on February 21st (and in March). In case you missed my initial post, Canvas and Cabernet offers painting classes while enjoying alcoholic beverages, hence the term paint and sip. They will also offer food from Harvest Market around the corner.

Last November I noted that the children’s drawing studio A Colorful Mind closed and now Threads Consignment, the women’s fashion consignment boutique originally located around the corner on Locust St. in downtown Walnut Creek has moved a block away to this location on N. Main St. right next to another women’s boutique Norf London. Keep in mind that this is in an alleyway so as you’re walking on N. Main St. towards Neiman Marcus you need to turn right, before Brandy Melville.

Now that Threads is next to Norf London anchored by Brandy Melville this alley could eventually become a new fashion hub for downtown. Threads Consignment is located at 1341 North Main St. Suite G in Walnut Creek.

In January I noted that Davidson & Licht’s The Watch Shoppe location which closed last September was being offered for a month-to-month lease for $3000. Thanks to a reader tip for pointing out that a new gift boutique called Wish will be opening soon. Since this will probably be a monthly lease I assume this store will be temporary for now. Wish is located at 1329 N. Main St. in downtown Walnut Creek across from Starbucks.
