Broadway Plaza, part of the Macerich (NYSE:MAC) portfolio of one-of-a-kind retail properties in top markets, invites residents of Walnut Creek and the East Bay to celebrate the property’s major renovation at “Party in the Plaza,” a center wide event on Thursday, September 1, from 4 pm – 9:30 pm, with many activities, including a free concert with  Pop Rocks featuring Mark McGrath from Sugar Ray.

“Party in the Plaza” celebrates the major renovation at Broadway Plaza that includes more than 50 new retailers, new parking, new finishes and refreshed outdoor amenities. In addition to an appearance from Pop Rocks featuring Mark McGrath, festivities will include a variety of musical and walk around entertainment, food trucks, a kid’s zone, and other specialty booths and activities from the event’s title sponsor, NYX Professional Makeup, and co-sponsors, Boudin, Diablo magazine, Gap, iHeart and the Walnut Creek Downtown. The event will wrap up with a spectacular fireworks finale.
