I noticed Park Theater in Lafayette, closed since 2004, has fencing around it now with signs pointing to Park Theater Trust, a “Public Benefit corporation” looking to restore the theater to its former glory. Check out their FAQ here.

Now the push is on to raise the $9 million necessary to renovate this historic, much-loved cinema into an accessible, inclusive, community-centered cultural hub for patrons of all ages. Our goal is to have a grand re-opening in 2025, the Park Theater’s 83rd birthday.
