This week we learned that Orchard Supply Hardware and Handworks of Danville will be closing. Earlier this month it was Brookstone and Campana Music. And before that it was Transitions and Nitro Dog in Lafayette, Look + See in Danville, and The Art of Shaving in Broadway Plaza.
Is the rate of store closings trending upward recently or is this just a combination of out with the old, in with the new? It looks like online shopping is having an impact but is this impact increasing lately or is it just that some companies are not able to adapt? What do you think about all these store closings going on?
