Joe & the Juice, which opened a couple of summers ago at Park Plaza Shops in Lafayette, has closed. The inside looks like it was just abandoned but the Available sign in front shows it’s gone for good.

Thanks to all who sent word that El Charro Mexican Dining, in business for over 70 years in Lafayette, will be closing year-end, as a consequence of the “financial loss due to the coronavirus pandemic”, according to this Mercury News article. Sad news as Bierhaus, the German-inspired restaurant and beer hall which opened about a year ago, closed in downtown Walnut Creek. I really enjoyed dining there and hope they come back in the future. Thanks to all who emailed about this.
Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek
I was holding out hope that Napa-based Heritage Eats, which opened a couple of years ago at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek, would reopen, but alas, their signage has been taken down, with nary a mention on their website. Their Napa location is still open so check out their menu if you’re in the area. I enjoyed eating here while they were open and they were one of the last places I ate at before the SIP orders closed indoor dining.
