The Veranda, Concord
Thanks to a reader for sending word that the SoCal-based restaurant chain Yard House is coming to the Veranda shopping center in Concord. Check out their food menu here and drink menu here.

Magnolia Square Shopping Center, San Ramon
Poke Roll, which opened last fall at the Magnolia Square Shopping Center in San Ramon is going to be replaced by a new restaurant called Sosu according to the latest ABC permit information.
Sunvalley Shopping Center, Concord
A new ice cream shop called Creamery & Joy opened recently on the second floor of the Sunvalley shopping center in Concord. One unique aspect of their offerings is cotton candy such as the cotton candy/unicorn burrito. Check out their Instagram page here.
Lyric, Walnut Creek

Crow Canyon Commons, San Ramon
In March we learned that Plucked Chicken & Beer would be opening in Crow Canyon Commons in San Ramon and their soft opening is tomorrow, Tuesday, June 26th. Although the Eventbrite event is sold out the official opening can’t be far behind. Check out their menu here.

The Veranda, Concord
Earlier this month we learned that Coffee Shop would be opening this summer in the Veranda shopping center in Concord and right next door, Residual Sugar Wine Bar, with their main location in downtown Walnut Creek, is progressing as well as you can see in these photos. There is a huge patio area on the side and the fountains in front of the IMAX theater are nearby so this is going to be a great spot to hang out once they open.

In the beginning of May we learned of a new restaurant called Roll House Specialty Rolls opening in downtown Walnut Creek where Main Street Deli / Brass Bear Delicatessen used to be and it looks like they’re almost finished judging from a look inside. I couldn’t find any online presence yet…
Blackhawk Plaza, Danville
The liquid nitrogen-based, made-on-demand ice cream shop Creamistry, that we learned last summer would be coming to Blackhawk Plaza in Danville, has now opened. Their official grand opening will be this Saturday, June 16th. For a detailed menu click here.
