Round Table Pizza is opening in the Danville Town & Country Shopping Center on San Ramon Valley Blvd. in Danville. As you can see in the photo below there will be an outdoor beer garden patio area. Check out their menu here.
Blackhawk, Plaza, Walnut Creek
The liquid-nitrogen ice cream shop Creamistry is coming to Blackhawk Plaza in Danville. Check out their menu here. Their specialty ice cream creations like Captain’s Breakfast made with Cap’n Crunch ice cream, strawberries, banana and Nutella and Quantum Coffee made with milk chocolate ice cream, Heath, almonds and caramel sound interesting.

Thanks to a reader for sending word that the San Ramon mainstay Giuseppe’s Pasta & Grill closed on August 27th. From their Facebook page:
For almost 20 years, Giuseppe’s has proudly served the San Ramon Valley, providing good quality food at a fair price in a family friendly atmosphere. Back in 1998, the folks of San Ramon welcomed us with open arms and for that we will be forever grateful.
Through the years, we’ve hosted wonderful parties, celebrations, surprises and even a couple of weddings. We’ve been fortunate to have benefitted from great friendships and loyal customers over the years and they all will be missed.
It has been a pleasure to have worked with such a wonderful and faithful staff; several have been with us for many, many years. Countless thanks to them for their dedication, hard work and loyalty, as we couldn’t have done it without them.
Now, after all these years, we are sorry to inform you that effective Sunday August 27th, Giuseppe’s will be closing its doors. The landlord has plans for the building and he will not be renewing the lease.

San Francisco-based Beep’s Burgers opened recently in Blackhawk Plaza in Danville with a limited menu compared to their San Francisco location (check out the menu below). I think I may need to try their root beer float for comparison sake…

Orchards Shopping Center, Walnut Creek
Earlier this month we learned that Pancheros Mexican Grill closed in the Orchards shopping center in Walnut Creek with the possibility of an Indian restaurant opening in its place and that turns out to be exactly the case as Patra Indian Grill is coming soon to this location. Park ‘N’ Shop, Concord
A new poke restaurant called Fresh Box Poke is coming to the Park ‘N’ Shop in Concord all the way at the far end on the side near Mimi’s Cafe. A sign about this restaurant was posted on the window of the nearby restaurant STEAMBOAT so it may be related. Stay tuned…
