Park ‘N’ Shop, Concord
STIX Eatery, a new restaurant featuring Southeast Asian cooking from Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam is soft opening very soon, possibly this week in the Park ‘N’ Shop center where McDonald’s used to be. Check out their menu here and check for updates on their Facebook page here. This place looks intriguing, I look forward to trying this place out! I’ve had plenty of Thai and Vietnamese food but I don’t believe I’ve ever tried Singaporean cuisine before. What are some recommended dishes to try?

1358 North Main Street, Walnut Creek
Main St. Kitchen has been open for a couple of years in downtown Walnut Creek and they are going to be expanding next door where Bryn Walker used to be. Look for a fall opening according to the owner. There will be a full liquor bar in their current location and pizzeria and rotisserie next door with expanded seating and a bigger patio. The fennel sausage soup of the day I had a couple of years ago was so delicious I’m glad they’re expanding and look forward to trying more dishes here soon!
1606 N. Main St, Walnut Creek
Earlier this year we learned that the French restaurant La Sen Bistro, based in Concord, was opening in a new location in downtown Walnut Creek where Ottavio used to be and they have now opened. Check out their menu here and also check out photos of the inside after the jump. The back area has great natural lighting thanks to a spacious skylight highlighting the elegant interior. The bread came with a really nice garlic cilantro sauce, I look forward to trying out more dishes here!

1524 Locust St, Walnut Creek
Last spring we learned that the San Francisco-based Peruvian restaurant Limon Rotisserie would be coming to downtown Walnut Creek where Inge’s Footwear used to be and the signage is finally up. Check out their menus here and read about their background here. Right next door Lokanta Mediterranean Bar & Grill will be opening as well.
Lyric, Walnut Creek
Thanks to a reader for sending word that according to the latest leasing information from the new apartment complex Lyric, located in downtown Walnut Creek on Locust St, Ascona Pizza will be opening a new location here. They currently have locations in Danville, Pleasanton and San Ramon. Check out their menu here.

Twin Canyon Shopping Center, San Ramon
According to a recent ABC permit report a restaurant called La Estrellita #2 will be coming to the Twin Canyon Shopping Center in San Ramon where Sushi House currently is. According to a chef there they will remain open for a few more months. Stay tuned…
3555 Mt. Diablo Blvd, Lafayette
Late last year we pondered whether a new poke restaurant called Poke Go would be coming to Lafayette to replace the Chinese reaturant The Tasteful Noodle and as you can see in the above photo, the temporary signage is up. Check for updates on their Facebook page here.
Crow Canyon Commons, San Ramon
In March we learned that Sacramento-based Dos Coyotes Border Cafe would be coming to Crow Canyon Commons in San Ramon and they have now opened. They feature Mexican & Southwestern cuisine. Check out their menu here. Last summer they opened in Willows shopping center in Concord.
1411 Locust St, Walnut Creek
A quick note about last week’s post about 310 Eatery coming back to downtown Walnut Creek where Redux Lounge (+ 310 Eatery) used to be. They are now OPEN! Check out their menu here and stay tuned for a new bar (which will replace Redux), called “Urban Alley Bar”… Those bacon jam fries sounds tempting!
