10:00am – 4:00pm | $25Students learn how to set up an indigo vat, how to dye with indigo and how to create beautiful designs using centuries old shibori techniques. Jenny will teach a quick indigo vat prep to start, then dive right in to teaching several shibori techniques. The binding workshop explores more traditional techniques with unexpected results. Get ready for surprises and happy accidents. We’ll use string, chopsticks, christmas ribbon, craft sticks, rubberbands and clips to create some of the most impactful and sometimes unpredictable types of shibori. Students are encouraged to bring small to medium size pieces. $25 supply fee due at class.
