The Walking Company closed a couple of years ago in Broadway Plaza in downtown Walnut Creek and now, thanks to a reader for pointing out that according to city records that have been filed they are coming back to Broadway Plaza.

Danville Hotel Town Center
Over the summer we learned that Papyrus would be relocating from their Hartz Ave. location in Danville to the recently developed Danville Hotel Town Center, also on Hartz Ave. and they are now the first shop to open in this development. Stay tuned for the rest of the openings…

In March the travel club Inspirato closed in Broadway Plaza in downtown Walnut Creek and as you can see Nespresso is “coming soon” to this location. Check out their website here. Anyone use a Nespresso machine at home? How do you like it?

A pop-up Quiksilver factory store is open in Crow Canyon Commons right near Sprouts supermarket in San Ramon for about six more months.

You may recall a few years ago the Bay Area design house Toss Designs opened a temporary popup shop in Broadway Plaza which actually lasted until last year and now they’re back in the East Bay, this time in Danville on Hartz Ave. where Papyrus used to be. This location is also a a temporary popup spot but depending on how things go they may end up permanently in Danville…

Encina Grande, Walnut Creek
There has been lots of progress on the redevelopment going on at Encina Grande on Ygnacio Valley Rd. in Walnut Creek. As you can see the new Walgreens exterior on the far end is up as are the neighboring shops next door as shown in the photo below. What a difference compared to how this shopping center looked before.
