1524 Locust St Walnut Creek
Back last October I noted that Inge’s Footwear had downsized in Walnut Creek and now they are having a moving sale as they will be be relocating in Walnut Creek by the end of the year somewhere near Keiser Permanente on Newell Ave. and S. Main St.
The temporary fencing that had been in front of the Park Plaza shops in downtown Lafayette for a while have finally been removed, the Available signs are up, so I look forward to seeing which stores, restaurant and/or cafe will open up in this location. Note the store at the far left in the photo is the Pioneer Store which was built in the 1860s and used as a store, post office and dwelling house.

3535 Mt Diablo Blvd, Lafayette
Back in March we learned that the pop-up boutique Leslie Evers would be closing in downtown Lafayette in La Fiesta Square, to be replaced by a new Douglah Design showroom and their temporary signage is now up. This store will feature lighting and plumbing fixtures, sinks, tile and more while their other location at 3586 Mt Diablo Blvd. down the street will host their showroom. 1341-H North Main St, Walnut Creek
In February I noted that Threads Consignment moved next to Norf London in downtown Walnut Creek and now more change is happening in this area as Norf London has downsized with Threads Consignment taking over the other half of the store. CY Louie, the jewelry and accessories boutique previously in Broadway Plaza will relocate where Threads Consignment used to be, right next door.
In case you don’t know where this fashion hub is, as you’re walking down N. Main St. towards Neiman Marcus, turn right right before Brandy Melville in the covered passageway and it will be on your right, a few stores down.
1657 Mt. Diablo Blvd, Walnut Creek
A new indoor cycling space called Cycle Scape Fitness is coming to downtown Walnut Creek this fall. The location is next to Home of Chicken and Waffles around the corner from the Cinemark movie theater. Stay tuned…
Back in May I noted that the Berkeley-based olive oil and balsamic vinegar company Amphora would be opening next to The Cooperage in downtown Lafayette and progress has been continuing as temporary signs are now up indicating that they are “coming this summer”. 1378 N. Main St, Walnut Creek
Last week I noted that Berkeley-based skin care company Body Time would be coming to Walnut Creek and it turns out they’re having a soft opening tomorrow, July 15th followed by the grand opening on Saturday, July 19th. I had a chance to preview the inside and it looks amazing (see photos after the jump). Check out their product line here. They also have a small men’s section in the shop (see product line here). They even offer birthday parties where kids can add scents and design their own lotion.

Ygnacio Valley Rd. & Oak Grove Rd, Walnut Creek
Last September I noted that Whole Foods would be replacing Safeway (which will move across the street) and the Encina Grande shopping center recently submitted new plans (see rendering above). In addition to Whole Foods, there are also plans for Walgreens to move in at the left side on the Oak Grove Road entrance in Walnut Creek.
