Main Street Postal Getting New Owner After 30 Years

After 30 years in business the owner of Main Street Postal & Business, Sherry Bennett has decided to sell to a new owner who intends to turn it into a UPS store. As vice president of the Walnut Creek Downtown Business Association Sherry will have to relinquish her position but may return to downtown Walnut Creek with a new business in the future. Stay tuned…

According to the new owner, the conversion to a UPS store will take a few months and will be able to offer more business services such as web site design and production print services for businesses large and small.

Sherry will be hosting an open house “Thank You” party at Main Street Postal this evening from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. RSVP is requested.

We Olive Wine Bar Now Open in Walnut Creek

Back in August I noted that We Olive in downtown Walnut Creek would be offering wine tasting and the wine bar is now open. Check out their complete wine list here. In the near future they plan on offering cheese and other pairings to go with the wine selections.

Saratoga Computers Relocates to Cypress St. in Downtown Walnut Creek

Metamorphosis Spa Closes in Downtown Walnut Creek

The spa Metamorphosis has closed in downtown Walnut Creek at the Mercer apartment complex. There are still quite a few salons on this block and Starbucks opened a few doors down yesterday.

Edwards Luggage Getting Ready to Open in New Broadway Plaza Location

Back in December I noted that Edwards Luggage would be relocating from the backside of Broadway Plaza to a new Broadway Plaza spot next to Neiman Marcus and they are very close to reopening at this new location. The old location has now closed and now every store on the backside of Broadway Plaza has closed except for Banana Republic, which will open across the street in March.

They Grow So Fast Closing Tomorrow in Lafayette

Thanks to a reader for sending word that the kids and maternity consignment store They Grow So Fast on Mt. Diablo Blvd. in Lafayette will be closing for good tomorrow. According to a letter posted in the store their rent was raised by 50% which caused them to leave after 21 years in business.

Jennifer Perlmutter Gallery Opens in Lafayette

A new contemporary art gallery called the Jennifer Perlmutter Gallery has opened on Mt. Diablo Blvd. in downtown Lafayette across from Diablo Foods. In addition to featuring the work of Jennifer Perlmutter and others, workshops and events will also take place which looks really interesting. Check out all the events here. Decors de France Reopens in Downtown Walnut Creek
