Friday, December 6th – Sunday, December 8th, 2013Clay Sale at Civic Park in downtown Walnut Creek. The event starts Friday night at 5:00 with an opening reception. The sale features hundreds of pieces of ceramics for everyone’s holiday shopping taste.
1259 S Main St, Walnut Creek
Back in September I noted that The Children’s Place closed at the corner of S. Main St. and Botelho Dr. in downtown Walnut Creek and now some scuttlebutt is that the clothing store Uniqlo is considering this location for a new store. Who wants to see Uniqlo come to Walnut Creek?! Stay tuned…
2033 N. Broadway, Walnut Creek
Back in May I noted that Maserati of Walnut Creek opened a showroom on N. Broadway in downtown Walnut Creek and they recently also became a Bentley dealership as well. In addition to Maseratis and Bentleys they also carry pre-owned exotic cars like Ferraris and Lamborghinis. Note that the entire showroom will be moving to the old Harley Davidson dealership on Parkside Dr. and N. Main St. in March.
I stopped by and took a look in their showroom recently. Take a look at some fine looking cars below:

The Broadway Plaza store closings continue apace as another women’s boutique, Diva-Diva will be closing in January. The closing sign states that everything is 20% off right now.
In November I noted that the women’s boutique Alina B would be leaving Broadway Plaza in January and their closing sale has kicked off with 50% off all merchandise. You can check out their online site here.

Civic Arts Education’s Shadelands auditorium, 111
N. Wiget Lane, will feature art glass, ceramics,
jewelry, paintings, photography, textiles and more.
Hours are Dec. 6 from 5-9 p.m., and 10 a.m. to
6 p.m. on Dec. 7 and 8. The Clay Studio at Civic
Park features ceramics for home and garden. Hours
are Dec. 6 from 5 p.m.to 9 p.m.; Dec. 7 from 10
a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The shoe store Ecco is closing in Broadway Plaza but plans to return in the Fall of 2015 when the backside of Broadway Plaza reopens. This is just one of many store closing announcements happening in Broadway Plaza recently.
See’s Candies is open for the holiday season through December 24th in Moraga at the Rheem shopping center next to Starbucks. This is for a Kiwanas fundraiser, “benefiting the children of our community”.
1509 Cypress St, Walnut Creek
Located on Cypress St. in downtown Walnut Creek, the women’s boutique TRB Outlet is closing in December or January. As you can see from the store window there is an additional 20% off. I made a Judging Boutiques post about this store back in February of last year.
In September I noted that The Nail Lounge opened on Locust St. in downtown Walnut Creek and it turns out that The Nail Shop, located across the street next to Anthropologie moved there. So the old post office and this location are now available for lease which potentially could be combined for a larger store to open up.
