Thanks to a reader for sending word that Oakland-based Green Fish Seafood Market, which we learned was coming to Walnut Creek in October, has now opened. As you can see in the photo below, they carry king crab legs, as well a wide variety of fresh fish, including sushi-grade cuts ( available starting this week). They also have plenty of fruits and vegetables, as well other interesting products such as Hello Kitty spicy noodles and Siracha ramen noodles, as seen in the photo at bottom. If you’re in the area, definitely check this place out!

Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek
Earlier this month, we learned that The North Face would be coming to Broadway Plaza in downtown Walnut Creek, and they have now opened. According to an employee at the store, this is a temporary pop-up location (only one floor) but they plan to eventually move to a permanent location somewhere in Broadway Plaza. In May, we learned that the baby goods store buybuy BABY would be closing in Pleasant Hill, next to Best Buy, and Rasputin Music & DVDs has relocated to this spot. A store called Crystal Dreams is “coming soon” to downtown Walnut Creek where Ming Quong used to be. Smart move to choose this spot which seems similar in at least some respects I suspect.
