Just Cozy Opens in Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek

Over the summer we learned that the clothing store True Religion would be closing in Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek and they have finally closed. In its place is a popup store open until January featuring leggings called Just Cozy.

From their LinkedIn page:

Just Cozy is a fourth quarter retail company. We specialize in fur-lined leggings and winter accessories. Just Cozy has been in 51 locations across Canada in 2016. We are a quickly expanding brand and are constantly looking for new venues.

Porcelanosa Kitchen Bath Showroom “Opening Soon” in Walnut Creek

Toys R Us Coming to Veranda Shopping Center in Concord Files for Bankruptcy

Toys R Us, which is planning to come to the new Veranda shopping center in Concord, located right next to the Willows shopping center, filed for bankruptcy today. From the USA Today article:

The bankruptcy filing may make some shoppers reluctant to make Toys R Us a destination during the upcoming holidays, and there may be gaps on some shelves if skittish suppliers decide to hold back on some deliveries. But bankruptcy could also give the toy store chain some relief, enabling it to cancel leases and abandon poorly performing locations.

I wonder if this will affect this opening?

Filthy Gorgeous Reopens Again in Downtown Walnut Creek

The home decor store Filthy Gorgeous has opened in downtown Walnut Creek in their third location after closing in Broadway Plaza a few years ago. The lighting in this store is amazing thanks to a huge frosted skylight on top. Check out their website here.

Thanks to a reader for pointing out that something interesting is going on in downtown Walnut Creek where Kitchen Table used to be. Signs on the window promoting DimeTime Redzone/Radd3 are posted there as well as video monitors. Radd3 is a Bay Area virtual reality company and a link on that site points to a Squarespace site:

We knew that this was going to happen since June, and sure enough, the children’s activewear clothing store ivivva recentlyclosed in Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek. Most of their other stores have closed but you can still shop online here.
