From an email:
My very large, chubby gray & white male tabby cat has not come home since late Christmas night.
Timothy Leadbelly is an indoor/outdoor cat but has never stayed away overnight before, so I’m worried about him.
He is somewhat shy and has a a tiny meow for such a big boy (unless distressed, in which case he can howl loudly). He is a neutered 8-year-old cat with the typical tabby markings (dark striping/marks on a gray background, with a white chin, chest and paws). Because he can be shy, he may be hiding in the bushes, or under a car or under someone’s home, or in a garage, shed or other enclosed hiding place.
He was last seen at home late Christmas night in the 2600 block of Jones Road in Walnut Creek (between Oak and Parkside, in a complex located next to the Contra Costa Canal Trail). It’s possible he’s near the trail, or hiding or being held by someone in a neighboring condominium complex that I think he sometimes visits, perhaps for extra snacks now that I’m preventing him from raiding his sister-cat’s bowl of chow so frequently.
