A new exhibit at the Bedford Gallery in downtown Walnut Creek, BLOW UP II, is on display through September 15th.
From the exhibit website:
In response to the popularity of our 2015 exhibition BLOW UP, Bedford Gallery is excited to present a second exhibition of inflatable art. BLOW UP II explores the imaginative ways that artists use air as a tool for creating large-scale sculpture and includes imagery that is figurative and abstract. Accessible, yet rich with meaning, these pieces use perception of space to open a dialogue about pop culture and social norms. BLOW UP II will feature large-scale artworks by a roster of internationally renowned artists.

1558 Canyon Rd, Moraga
The wait is over as Canyon Club Brewery opened this week in Moraga and judging by a recent visit the place is absolutely packed where even two cowboys showed up! There is plenty of seating inside and out. In addition to various draft beers as can be seen on the board in the photo below they also serve five beers made on location ranging from a German Kolsch to a New World IPA. Check out their complete beer selection here. There are also plenty of food options including appetizers, salads, burgers and more. Check out their limited opening menu here.
From their website:
We’re proud to offer our sessionable take on craft beer and an eclectic “Texasfied” gastro pub food menu. Experience the true biergarten life with more than half our seating outside. And the beer; our CCB 7-barrel brewing system enables us to build a tradition of innovation and creativity. All this, set in the backdrop of the Moraga hills. Check us out, enjoy brunch on the weekends, dinner every night and take a crowler and some merch home!

Are you a city person or is the countryside more to your liking? Or somewhere in between? If you could choose to live in the city or suburbs which one would you choose? Of course everything is relative and although Walnut Creek is developing rapidly it’s still the suburbs.
If you happen to find yourself parked at Broadway Plaza in downtown Walnut Creek getting ready to go shopping, walk down through side entrance near Macy’s to learn more about the role of trees and relax on the bench before heading out to shop. Or stop by on the way back before heading home.
