Thanks to everyone for sending word that Gap Factory opened last week at the Veranda shopping center in Concord. Check out the Gap Factory online store here. What’s the difference between Gap and Gap Factory? I know Gap Factory offers a more affordable selection but is the quality the same as Gap with less selection or does the quality differ?
Spotted at the Veranda shopping center in Concord. They also have ping pong 🏓, cornhole and other games where the ice skating rink used to be. Great idea.

Earlier this month we learned that Coffee Shop would be opening this summer in the Veranda shopping center in Concord and right next door, Residual Sugar Wine Bar, with their main location in downtown Walnut Creek, is progressing as well as you can see in these photos. There is a huge patio area on the side and the fountains in front of the IMAX theater are nearby so this is going to be a great spot to hang out once they open.

Last month we learned that Coffee Shop, which originally opened in Walnut Creek several years ago, would be coming to Danville and they are also opening at the Veranda shopping center in Concord as well. This location is directly across from the IMAX movie theater and as you can see in the above photo, the outdoor seating area is spacious and amazing! Whoever picks Coffee Shop locations is very smart as these locations are always perfectly situated with great outdoor seating options.

In March we learned that Sacramento-based Mikuni Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar would be coming to the Veranda shopping center in Concord and they are officially opening on May 14th. Check out their Concord menu here. They offer sushi/sashimi as well as hot dishes like gyoza, donburi, teriyaki and more. The inside is spacious with tall ceilings decorated with cool fish sculptures hanging from above as well as TVs liberally spaced out to catch the latest game. With a long sushi bar at one end, traditional bar towards the front plus an outdoor patio section on the side there is plenty of space to enjoy a Japanese style meal with drinks.
More photos of the inside and food after the jump…

The gym City Sports Club is set to open tomorrow at the Veranda shopping center in Concord. Interestingly you can peek through the windows from the outside to look at the pool. I wonder if they’ll add some privacy screening to the windows…
