Lafayette Library and Learning Center
3491 Mt. Diablo Blvd, Lafayette
Wednesday, February 5th, 2014
2:00pm – 3:00pm | FreeA UC Berkeley Docent will join us to share the history of this living museum. Established in 1890, the UC Botanical Garden, which is open to the public year round, has over 13,000 different kinds of plants from around the World, cultivated by region in naturalistic landscapes over its 34 acres.
The beauty of Strawberry Canyon creates a natural setting for these plants that are displayed in geographical assemblages. The UC Botanical Garden is a non-profit research garden and museum for the University of California at Berkeley.
