Back in April a new parking lot was opened in the Moraga Commons Park and it turns out they seeded the buffer between the lot and the park with wild flowers. Kudos for that, looks great!

This fire pit was featured with one of the kitchens in the Lafayette Juniors Kitchen Tour last month. Look closely and you can see actual horseshoes inside the fire pit which is rather appropriate considering the house is located right next to a huge horse stable in Burton Valley, Lafayette.
Props to the Lafayette Juniors who ended up raising over $50,000 for various non-profit organizations including $25,000 for New Day for Children, which, “rescues and provides for the needs of American girls ages 10 to 18 suffering from the desperation of human trafficking”.
If you would like to see your kitchen or remodel featured email me a photo at btcreek(at)beyondthecreek(dot)com with location and details and I’ll be in touch.
In order to make room for extra parking for the new restaurant The Cooperage in downtown Lafayette, the building where Twigs Floral & Art called home for over 25 years will be demolished soon. Twigs will still be open for phone and online orders so check out their website for more info here.
Spotted at Lafayette Auto Body on Mt. Diablo Blvd, this is an old Richfield gas pump with a custom paint job. They even have a Blue Chip Stamp sign on the side. Does anyone remember those?
